The Promo Code Lottery Day has been delayed for a short time while we try to get more promo codes from more developers.

We’ll announce shortly when the lottery day will be held. And don’t worry, it should be pretty soon.

Promo Code Lottery Day #2 will be on August 8th.

We will be hosting another promo code lottery day and it will be one week from Saturday, on August 8th. We hope that everyone will enjoy this one as much as the last one, and we hope to have even more codes available this time, as well as even more developers.

Wow.

I am overwhelmed by the success of the promo day. It was incredibly fun and exciting. First of all, let me say thanks to all of the participating developers. They made this fun for all of us. I would also like to thank all of the users who participated and requested codes.

Here is a basic run down of the day:
Total codes given away: 445
Total time taken to give them away: Just over an hour
Average time per code given away: Approximately 10 seconds

Seems like a tremendous success to me. And because of the incredible success we are happy to say, we will continue to do this as long as it sees success! The emails will not be used for us for solicitation for our apps, nor will they be sold or given to anyone else. The most we would do would be to email all of our previous users to give the promo day another shot.

The next one, although this isn’t an official date, will likely happen on August 1st. We have already had developers contact us asking to be included in the next promo day. Our doors are open to all developers! We would love to turn this into a giant event, and the more variety and total codes the better it can be.

An awesome idea hit me when I was working on my applications.  An idea that will hopefully be great for all of us that are smaller developers…

Today, I’m happy to announce that Mint Apps are officially going to go forward with this idea on July 1st.

Here’s how it will work for the iPhone user.  You will go to mintapps.com and you will be able to find a page where you simply enter your email address and you will be emailed a promo code.  The email address will simply be saved to make sure that that email address only gets one promo code.  We will never sell your information, we will never send you any solicitation.  The promo code could be anything.  It could be an app from Mint Apps, it could be an app from someone else.  That’s why we call it a lottery.  I hope to get as many developers involved in this as possible so there is a great variety of promo codes and a great number of promo codes available so everyone can participate.

Now, for developers it should be great.  Any developer can send me promo codes for their applications.^[1]  Your user base will have a great chance to grow.  You spent a great amount of time building great applications so that they could be used.  If you provide promo codes, you will receive a logo on the pages pertaining to the lottery as a thank you.

I will do my best to keep everyone posted as I receive developer attention, and anyone who has specific questions, please feel free to comment, otherwise you can reach me at ebusch@mintapps.com.  I am really looking forward to what could be a fantastic event for developers and iPhone and iPod Touch users alike.

Please do not send me promo codes just yet, I will let you know when I would like them.  You should probably request them from iTunes Connect right around the 24th, but if you already know you would like to participate, let me know!

[1] Mint Apps may redeem one promo code previous to the event at random to assure that the codes are legitimate.

We hope that FallBall V1.0 update can come very soon.  It has been submitted to Apple.

The wait is over, our first game FallBall! is finally here!

FallBall is a classic game of racing a ball through a course as you fall. Weave your way through the course and guide your ball through the holes in the course as you are falling. The object of the game is to not hit your ball with the top of the screen.

Move the ball left or right by tilting your iPhone/iPod Touch left or right. As you are falling you will notice random tokens appear in the course. These tokens can be good or evil. Some examples of tokens may include a good one that adds points or returns the course to its original speed, or an evil token which will invert the controls.

FallBall also creates competition all across the world. Compare your high scores with high scores of players all over the world and compete for the highest score of the day, week, or all time.
